As a former medical professional, I developed excellent listening and diagnostic skills – not to mention a pressing need to escape a world of white. A change in direction led me to floral design where my creativity with color, texture and space developed. Following several years as a floral designer, I pursued a degree in Interior Design followed by two additional years working with local designers and architects to further develop my craft. My philosophy of design closely parallels architect and designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) who introduced the concept of "less is more”. Design is not about filling up spaces, but rather using space to create an environment where you feel relaxed, comfortable and truly, at home.
